It’s quieter than you’d expect, easy to get around, and the pace of life there feels more restful rather than slow. The sea is clear blue, and the food is absolutely worth looking forward to.
What we really love about Malta is how uncomplicated it all is. English is spoken everywhere, the island is so small that nothing involves a huge journey, and the people are always friendly and helpful. Easter temperatures are in the low 20s, which means you can do as much or as little as you like – a slow morning by the water, a nice lunch, a gentle wander around one of the old villages in the afternoon. That’s what makes Malta a perfect easter destination.
Why Do So Many British Travellers Keep Going Back to Tenerife?
The sun is almost always shining, the beaches are beautiful, and there’s something about the island that makes relaxing feel completely effortless. Mid-20s temperatures at Easter are perfect. If the bigger resorts aren’t really your thing, Los Cristianos is a much quieter option with a really pretty harbour and some lovely spots to eat right on the waterfront. It’s the kind of place where a morning can disappear very happily indeed.
If you’d prefer a bit of an outing, Mount Teide is wonderful, the cable car takes you up to views that are honestly quite breathtaking, and it’s nowhere near as tiring as it might sound.
