Specialist travel insurance for breast cancer patients travelling to Europe or worldwide.
More than 55,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, making it one of the most common types of cancer. Breast cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years, and despite being one of the most common types of cancer, it is also the most curable. This means that there are more and more people living with a previous breast cancer diagnosis, and we believe that this shouldn’t impact your ability to travel, which is why we work hard to find the best policy for you and your medical needs. Travel insurance after breast cancer should be simple and easy to obtain and that’s where OK To Travel come in.
We understand that breast cancer can affect people in different ways. We endeavour to find suitable cover for your trip, regardless of the type of treatment you required and wherever you are on your journey to recovery. Standard insurers often exclude cover for pre-existing medical conditions, or anything related to them, even if your breast cancer diagnosis was several years ago. Our specialist insurance policy makes sure that you are covered for any complications that may arise due to your ongoing cancer or previous diagnosis.
You may be wondering if you can get travel insurance with breast cancer, and the answer is yes! A breast cancer diagnosis shouldn’t mean that you miss out on travel. In fact, a holiday could be just what you need to celebrate the all-clear, or just give yourself a break! That is why we work hard to provide the best cover for breast cancer patients, or people who have had a previous breast cancer diagnosis. Our medical screening system asks all the relevant questions to make sure that you are getting the best cover possible for your individual needs, at a fair price.
We have four different levels of cover to choose from, with different prices depending on the amount of cover you’re looking for, so you can be confident that you have the most suitable policy for your medical conditions and travel needs. Get a quote online or speak to one of our friendly contact centre team for more information. We are always happy to help and guide you through the process.

Some of our most frequently asked questions about travel insurance.
Our medical declarations do ask about cancer on a lifelong basis, so you would need to declare your breast cancer even if it was a long time ago. However, because of our medically aware team and our expert screening system, we ask all the right questions to reflect your own circumstances, so your policy will take into account how long you have been cancer free.
Although we can’t guarantee we can cover every circumstance, we can always consider cover depending on the type of treatment you’re having and where you’re travelling to. We will always endeavour to find the most suitable policy for your individual needs.
In some cases yes, you would need to do a medical screening to confirm this. However please be aware that we can be a lot more flexible with our rates if you are looking a single trip quotation as this is then based where you are travelling actually to.
